Imagine historic East Poultney Green
without its beautiful meetinghouse!
One of Vermont’s most photographed and treasured historic churches,
the East Poultney meetinghouse (now United Baptist Church of Poultney),
needs your support now.
Due to age and weather, damage to the exterior ‘building envelope’ is
at a critical point. Restoration is still possible and within means if
we all pitch in. More than $120,000 has already been raised for
restoration and building updates, thanks to the efforts of church and
community leaders and historic preservation enthusiasts. The project
has also earned national recognition from the National Fund for Sacred Places,
enabling the church to receive at least $100,000 in additional funds
from a matching grant program managed by Partners for Sacred Places
in collaboration with the National Trust for Historic Preservation – the
more we raise, the more we’re eligible to receive!
Please join us in restoring this community and state treasure by making a donation or 3-year pledge by January 31, 2019. Visit www.ubcofpoultney.com (click on give/serve) to
learn more and to make a secure donation via PayPal.
You may also send a check made out to:

1500 E. Main Street, Poultney, VT 05764.
